The relaxed and inviting atmosphere of L’Angolino was a large part of the appeal to Owner and Head Chef, Craig Small, when he took over the running of the restaurant in September 2017. L’Angolino is a small family run restaurant, which first opened in 2012. It has been very successful with many returning customers and positive reviews. Craig is a professional Chef who has worked in a variety of local kitchens; catering to weddings, large groups and family events, gaining in experience. Now he is enjoying cooking the food he loves cooking and having the chance to put his individual style into the creation for dishes and specials.

Every dish at L’Angolino is carefully prepared by Head Chef Craig. He uses only quality, locally sourced, Scottish or quality Italian produce wherever possible. Each dish has a Mediterranean/ Italian accent and here at L’Angolino we aim to provide excellent home cooking in a warm and friendly, family environment. Situated at the gateway to Loch LomandĀ  & Trossachs National Park, in the small village of Doune, we are the ideal destination for Tourists and Local alike.

Meaning ‘the little corner’ in Italian, this intimate restaurant is found in a quiet corner of the Stirlingshire countryside. Owner and head chef Craig Small was charmed by the venue when he decided to take it over two years ago, and has since focused the menu around locally-sourced produce. Everything is made fresh to order, and with only seven tables in the restaurant, Craig and his wife Sarah-Jane can offer diners a genuinely special experience.

This is a small restaurant with a nice informal ambience and a high standard of friendly service. My pizzaholic son judged his pizza as among the very best and my Tuscan sausages and mash were cooked to perfection, My wife’s venison was delicious.
